Below is a preview of the articles appearing in the November issue of the Journal. The November front cover is a photograph  taken at the recently conducted VHA fund raising sale. Ten of the donated birds were nominated to be sold with proceeds going to 'Canteen,' the charity caring for 'kids with cancer.' At the end of proceedings, just over $25000 had been collected with the ten Canteen pigeons bringing $7500. Former Australian Test captain Bill Lawry duly presented a cheque for this amount to Peeta and Kelly, who represented Canteen. VHA President Kevin Clark extended particular thanks to Bill for his participation, and to the committee members who worked so hard to make it all happen, as well as those who made the night so successful. Our photograph shows (left to right) Garry Church and daughter Natalie, Bill Lawry, John Shore, Peeta (Canteen), Kevin Clark. Forefront: Jack Wetering (left), and Kellie (Canteen), right.
